The second beer in our dual release is Coffee Flower DARK, a messed up milk stout.
On finding out that Has Bean had released a new batch of dried coffee flowers the conversation went a bit like this:
JON: The tasting notes describes them as having a hint of Lotus biscuits. What are they?
DARREN: My missus gets them with her brew when she’s getting her hair done.
JON: Are they good?
DARREN: Yeah, there awesome!
JON: Maybe we should put a pack in the mash then?
So we did. Lotus biscuits, lactose, dried coffee flowers and porridge oats – definitely our strangest beer to date. This could all go horribly wrong!
