Gyle 059 – The 4C’s

Last year’s single hop grain bill but made with the 4 C’s – Centennial, Columbus, Chinook and Cascade.

MALT:

Crisp Maris Otter Extra Pale Malt – 4.5kg

Crisp Cara Malt – 400g

HOPS:

Chinook – 20g / 60 minutes

Columbus – 40g / 60 minutes

Columbus – 25g / 30 minutes

Cascade – 20g / 5 minutes

Centennial – 20g / 5 minutes

Chinook – 20g / 5 minutes

Cascade – 60g / Dry Hop

Centennial – 60g / Dry Hop

Chinook – 60g / Dry Hop

ADJUNCTS: 1x Campden tablet, 8.7g Calcium Sulphate.

YEAST: Mangrove Jacks M44 + oxygen

STRIKE VOLUME: 27.5 litres

TARGET VOLUME: 20 litres

MASH: 65°C / 60 minutes, raise to 80°C mashout and hold for 10 minutes

BOIL: 60 minutes

FERMENTER TEMP: 18°C

OG: 1.053

FG: 1.006

ABV: 6.2%

CARBONATION: 2.0 units
