Gyle 064 – All For Nothing

Using up the last of our leftover hops from 2019 with an IPA based on the malt used in our long running single hop series and a 90 minute boil for increased bitterness.

MALT:

Crisp Extra Pale Maris Otter – 4.5kg

Crisp Cara Malt – 400g

HOPS:

Chinook – 30g / 90 minutes

Chinook – 20g / 30 minutes

Cascade – 70g / 5 minutes

Amarillo – 70g / 5 minutes

Chinook – 180g / Dry hop

ADJUNCTS: 1x Campden tablet, 9.7g Calcium Sulphate

YEAST: Mangrove Jacks M44 sprinkled on wort

STRIKE VOLUME: 30.4 litres

FERMENTER TEMP: 18°C

OG: 1.054

FG: 1.011 @ day 5

ABV: 5.8%

MASH: 65°C / 60 minutes, raise to 80°C mashout and hold for 10 minutes

BOIL: 90 minutes

CARBONATION: 2.0 units
