Gyle 070 – Kernel DDH IPA (Sabro)

Another Kernel single hop IPA. This time with slightly more Maris Otter to get the ABV over 6% and double dry hopped.

MALT:

Crisp Extra Pale Maris Otter – 6kg

HOPS:

Sabro – 10g / 60 minutes

Sabro – 20g / 15 minutes

Sabro – 30g / 10 minutes

Sabro – 40g / 5 minutes

Sabro – 100g / Dry hop (day 7)

Sabro – 100g / Dry hop (day 9)

STRIKE VOLUME: 29 litres

TARGET VOLUME: 20 litres

PACKAGED VOLUME: 3x kegs, 11x 330ml bottles

ADJUNCTS: 1x Campden tablet, 9.1g Calcium Sulphate

MASH: 67°C / 60 minutes stirring at 15 minutes, 80°C / 10 minutes

BOIL: 60 minutes

YEAST: Mangrove Jacks M44 sprinkled on wort with oxygen

FERMENTER TEMP: 18°C

OG: 1.065

FG: 1.013

ABV: 6.8%

CARBONATION: 2.0 units
