Simpsons Black Malt (EBC 1700) – 50g

HOPS:

Fuggles – 40g / 90 minutes

East Kent Goldings – 30g / 30 minutes

Styrian Goldings (Celeia) – 50g / 5 minutes

HOP RATIO: g/l

TARGET VOLUME: 26 litres (19 litres clean wort into fermenter + 1 litre yeast starter)

STRIKE VOLUME: 30.2 litres @ 68°C

SPARGE VOLUME: 6 litres

FERMENTER VOLUME: 20 litres

PACKAGED VOLUME: x 330ml bottles

ADJUNCTS: 1x Protofloc tablet, 1x yeast nutrient

MINERALS: (Balanced) Gypsum 2.1g Calcium Chloride 5.1g Epsom Salt 3.1g

MASH: 66°C / 60 minutes

BOIL: 120 minutes

YEAST: Wyeast 1469 West Yorkshire Ale yeast with oxygen

FERMENTER TEMP: 20°C

OG: (1.046) 1.050

FG: (1.014) 1.015 @ 48 hours / 1.010 @ 5 days

ABV: (4.3%) 5.2%

CARBONATION: 1.2 units

CONDITIONING TIME: 3 weeks.

BREWING NOTES: Overshot the OG by 4 points. Water volume was pretty much perfect. Yeast fermenting hard after just 12 hours. Full 19 litre keg primed with 15g sugar.
